Judaism is tolerated in both Christianity and Islam, but especially Christians often blame "the murderers of Jesus" whenever a well goes dry or a calf dies. The Jews value education much more than Christians, so proportionally more people learn magic, but one must be careful not to delve too deep into forbidden lore lest the Inquisition gets interested.

Kabbalists, or mystic rabbis, have studied issues often seen as heretic for hundreds of years. Most students of Kabbalah live in Islamic areas to avoid prosecution by the Christians. It is not uncommon for kabbalists to mix hermetic ideas with the Jewish faith to get an unique mix of magical abilities.

Jewish Magical Tradition

Much like Christian magic (which has, in fact, been derived from the Jewish tradition) the Jewish tradition is based on prayer. It is slightly more ritualistic, and may use sacrifice of animals in some cases.
